I have a client who is considering renouncing his US citizenship. He is trying to figure out how he will prove to financial institutions and other organizations that he has renounced if they request his place of birth, want to see his birth certificate, etc. He knows that providing a copy of his CLN form is primary, but are there other documents or forms of "proof" he should have ready that are typically required to prove one's US renunciation?
