Most cantons will take the $100K in a second if you are European. I'll explain why...
Take, for example, someone with a net worth of CHF10M. The most they'll pay is ~CHF 40K/year in Paradiso, TI, assuming they stop working (no income) and only do a SWR of only 2% from their (after-tax) savings.
If Paradiso, Ticino, CH accept the "Imposizione secondo il dispendio" they'll get 2½ times what they︁ would normally get. Why would they NOT take it? 🙄
That's how a lot of people︂ "I know" do it. 😉
For example:
😉 It's totally worth it for both sides and the︃ beneficiary of the Paradiso residency can engage in other income-producing activities. A person with a︄ net worth of +CHF 1M knows how to make money... I would dare to say︅ that someone with CHF +½M (liquid) also knows how to create value/income. 😉
PS. There are︆ apartments with roommates for CHF 650/per month. Some for even less. thu&¤#
