You can reduce the registration fee by applying for a red plate which is like a weekend and public holiday use license plate. The registration fee is reduced to 40% of the full registration cost.

The other way is to get a fully electric super/hyper car that has an electric only range of at least 50km. So you can then buy a Rimac Nevara and import it with no registration fee smi(&%. But if you can afford a Rimac....well.....

Yes I do and yes car import duty is no joke here as that's how gov makes its money.
