Hello all! For months, i am searching for German Bank account for legitimate, not problematic UG. I contacted all the major local banks and some Internet Banks, but always got declined. The ask for exact business details, and i do not want to provide, besides some general descriptions. it looks like German banks does not like UGs (German UG is a bit like LLC). Is anybody here experienced with any German bank, who was able to open an account for an UG recently?

Never heard of anyone having problems with business banking with an UG on the basis of the company being an UG. The handful of UGs I've come across that bank in Germany have mostly banked with Deutsche Bank and smaller local banks. Revolut, Wise, and others also work fine for many people.

I would guess that the problem is this:

Explain what your legitimate, non-problematic company does, and you should have no problems. No way around that nowadays.

Try with N26 Business Account, however, I don't understand what's the point of not disclosing business details if it's non-problematic as you noted.

I have a long-time former college friend who is a bank's managing director.
A company they onboarded gave them a detailed business plan (BP). The BP consisted of their contract with law enforcement (=the client), and the suppliers. The BP: a heat-sensing helicopter to fly over the city to find marijuana "houses". The BP detailed everything, contact information, equipment, pricing, etc etc. It was a million-dollar business every year.

My friend proposed that we do the business through me and split the profits. It's a LOT of profit! I passed...not because I am holy or anything like that, because I know that if my friend gets pressured by authorities he WILL squeal like a pig on me. cry&¤ It's great money, but spending time in prison for something like that isn't my cup of tea. stupi#21

I made up some excuse why I would love to but can't at the moment and I don't know what happened after that. 🙄

I think that is why @ComSecSolutions is apprehensive about sharing his BP details, but only he can answer this with certainty. I'm only speculating based on my past experiences.
