Morning all, I am new to the group, but keen to be involved and happy to help and share. My investments are quite vanilla and mostly involve a mix of UK real estate + global equities. In 2023 I am planning to add a digital agency and a digital publishing business. All low risk and quite boring. I registered last year in Portugal where I now live under NHR. I have found that while many accountants understand the NHR regime, they are not very skilled at anything cross border. In other words, fine for a pensioner, but not very helpful for an active businessman. All I need is someone to file my annual return intelligently. I am not looking for a whizz kid to create an offshore structure (the structure is already in place). It would be nice to find a portuguese accountant who has an inkling of how the UK tax system works, and a reasonable understanding of where the limits to NHR lie. Does that make sense?
Anyways, I am hoping that someone here can throw out a couple of names - they don't have to be hard recommendations - just a lead would be good.
