why is the card canceled because you change the country?⁢ strange.

Isn't there a easy card to get your hands on which gives you a︀ lot of miles and bonus for frequently flyers and hotel bookers? some that is not︁ country restricted or at least work all over the European area?

Yes, I want the Amex Platinum EUR back, do you have any ideas?‌

I don't have a bank‍ that corporates with Amex. I have already asked all of them. 😕

Sorry. The bank charges of all banks in Liechtenstein are‍ absurd and out of the question. The custody account fees of 0.40% or more and stock exchange orders of 1.9% alone are a no-go. eek¤%&

But the ICC 3% FX charges are also absurd.

Can somebody please enlighten me how this card makes sense as those⁤ fees? I mean I normally spend no more than 20% in one currency.

If I have the ICC EUR there are no fees for EUR. For foreign currencies I have other cards with 0%⁤ forex fee.

Is there any difference between Amex ICC to the standard one?

Not really, but I can only compare to standard UK GBP Amex. For example, I have access to the same Centurion concierge in Brighton as the UK residents cardholders.
I know that Amex varies greatly from country to country, including fees, and I heard that U.S. Centurion concierge can do magic in that country.
You can transfer your account to other countries, except the US, where you would be downgraded to platinum unless you convince them you deserve the higher status.

The ICC cards are cheaper but do not come with the lifestyle credits etc.‍ you would get in the UK and the US.

The US Amercian Express cards do not have foreign transaction fees, while the ICC and most other cards charge up to⁤ 3%.

dukascopy.bank sounds good.‍ However, I see now, fees from assets 1.5% per year, is that serious? Then of course not acceptable.

Maintenance fee 1.5% per year (The maintenance fee (cumulative swap points) is⁤ charged monthly for the assets held in the previous month. The fee is calculated from⁣ the sum of the end-of-day balances of the investments' * (maintenance fee in % /⁢ 360). ja334¤¤#

The rationale of the ICC is to spend Eur or USD without any fx charge.

I never had those cards, please correct me if I am wrong. From what I‌ read on the official website, FlyerTalk, etc. there are differences.

Maybe, I am wrong. But
https://www.americanexpress.com/icc...intlink=icc-en-vac-personal-platinum-16072019
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/card/platinum/

I think the ICC is $550 (with free partner card) vs. the US one at $695.

For the links above, with the US card you get:
  • $200 Hotel Credit
  • $240 Digital Entertainment Credit
  • $155 Walmart+ Credit
  • $200 Uber Cash
  • $200 Airline Fee⁣ Credit
  • $199 CLEAR® Plus Credit
All of which is not avaliable on the ICC.

I understand that. Previously also GBP. But still the US comes︀ without FX fees, which may be a benefit especially as many airlines charge tickets in︁ the currency of your departure country.
