New Rules on cash payments in Spain

It is spreading slowly but surely across Europe, and at least within the EU. Without‌ cash, control over the individual becomes much easier and can be automated. It is a‍ worrying trend.

Quite terrifying that they keep tightening the noose on our privacy necks.

Yup Spain is literally terrorizing their citizens. What a place to live. Imagine the Hacienda‌ freezing your account and cards due to a tax investigation and you cannot even retain‍ a lawyer in cash (>1k) to defend yourself...lol.

Seriously folks you need to be poor, retired or have no aspirations in life to enjoy living in Spain.

Imagine having a friend living in the UAE or other tax-friendly places⁣ and letting you use his cards in Spain while you just chill and pay him⁢ back in usdt.

I just don't understand how it is ok for people to accept financial slavery....

Same reason sheep accept being farmed. The sheeple do as they're‍ told and give up their independence in exchange for having their lives controlled by the shepherds. They are beneath our respect.

I have mixed feelings about spain. I don't know if I should laugh at its‌ population for being that pathetic to get that controlled, or to be frighten by the‍ fact that these obedient sheeps are so many on earth that free minded people like us don't weight much in the equation. Well, except financially, at least there is that.⁤ But in most case, money is not the same as power.

Look at the spirit⁣ with nice n**i vibes.

"Snitch and walk free? Hacienda says yes!
In a move⁢ that’s sure to cause some heated arguments, the first person to report an illegal cash︀ transaction gets a free pass! If you’ve been part of a dodgy deal and decide︁ to spill the beans to Hacienda within three months, you’ll escape punishment – leaving the︂ other party to take the hit.

But if both parties report each other at the︃ same time? No one gets off the hook!
"

On the other hand, I don’t think the Spanish‍ authorities cand see the full identity of the person owning the Credit/Debit card. They might be able to see the card number and, if present in Spain long enough, to⁤ request the identity of the owner but this can be easily circumvented either by making⁣ the payments through a digital wallet (that doesn’t send the real card number but a⁢ randomized token) or simply by having more than one card from that friend

Dumb Spanish are willing to give up some liberty for what they think is temporary‌ safety.

That's interesting.

What if I just gave a card to my⁤ friends in Spain, and I just want to support him so he can pay everywhere⁣ with my money, it doesn't mean he is escaping the taxes.

I see limited risk at the moment.

But the main problem is that all those‌ data sharing agreements are doing 5 years back. Hence, you never can feel safe.

Another thing is that he was using American Express, which was⁤ the problem.

Don't play with the US.

If you give your card to a friend, all money he uses from this card are consideres as⁤ donation, which is fully taxable income in Spain.

In Italy they did the same, nothing changed, money laundering and tax evasion happens are‌ endemic, basically the whole Italian economy is based on black money nowadays.

The prisoner's dilemma, except the⁢ only positive result is removed.
What surprises me more is this inexplainable︄ attraction that constantly brings tax evaders to Spain.

I swear that we always see people︅ attempting to decrease their tax burden with illegal and easily detectable methods and they are︆ resident in Spain.

If you don't want to be milked like a cow by Spain,︇ don't live in Spain!
