My experience opening an account at OCBC and DBS

Hi,
I applied directly and contacted the bank over one of their webpage forms, got a response immediately and the KYC started. That was quite an intensive process. Yes, I am satisfied, but I do not use the accounts very intensively. OCBC Singapore is considered one of the safest bank in the world.

Best,

Hi Fossy

What reason did you give the bank as to why you wanted to open an account in Singapore?

That would be my reason too. I live in Taiwan so obvious reasons why I don't want all my cash here.

You can buy bitcoin.
It comes with the added benefits that in an event of war or whatever happens, your account wont be freezed due to residency/citizenship as happened to Russians or other unfortunate folks before that.

I already have, but I don't want all my money in Bitcoin, just a portion of it as a hedge.
