My experience opening an account at OCBC and DBS

Hi,
I applied directly and contacted the bank over one of their webpage forms, got‌ a response immediately and the KYC started. That was quite an intensive process. Yes, I‍ am satisfied, but I do not use the accounts very intensively. OCBC Singapore is considered⁠ one of the safest bank in the world.

I would say stick to the truth. In my case in was "diversification of assets".‌

That would be my reason too. I live in Taiwan‍ so obvious reasons why I don't want all my cash here.

You can buy bitcoin.‍
It comes with the added benefits that in an event of war or whatever happens,⁠ your account wont be freezed due to residency/citizenship as happened to Russians or other unfortunate⁤ folks before that.

I already have,⁠ but I don't want all my money in Bitcoin, just a portion of it as⁤ a hedge.
