Yep, I have been all over. No problems, of course there's some hustlers, but mostly nice and friendly people. Even Sinaloa or other "hot spots" that I have been to. Just don't flash your gold Rolex (except those areas like Polanco). No doubt it's better to avoid certain areas or states, that goes for many countries in the world. Overall Mexico has a great︀ potential with decent transportation, shopping, entertainment, nature. Lots of good international flight connections via Mexico︁ City and Cancun.
