During these lightning advances, Houthi forces succeeded in clearing the Al-Wazi'iyah junction, the Al-Mokha junction, the important Khalid ibn al-Walid base, as well as areas in the Al-Wazi'iyah district including Al-Haniya, Al-Aqmah, and Al-Ghayl up to the outskirts of Al-Shuqayrah town, the administrative center of Al-Wazi'iyah district.

🗺 In southern Al-Hudaydah Governorate, Houthi forces took control of the important towns of Hays and then Al-Khukhah, and continuing their advance along the coastal strip and taking over Yakhtul, they entered the vital port of Al-Mokha and seized control of it as well.

Such city was the last major city on the Al-Khukhah axis along Yemen’s western coast as the Houthis advanced

The capture strengthens Houthi positions near the strategic Bab al-Mandab shipping route.

🇾🇪❌🇾🇪🇸🇦 — On September 9, 2026, clashes erupted between South Yemeni separatists and PLC forces around al-Aboud Military Camp in the frontline region of Ad Dale following the visit of Saudi-backed PLC's defense Minister Tahir Al-Aqeeli to the region

➡️ During the incident, Separatist armed protesters blocked the main road to prevent the visiting PLC defense minister from leaving, objecting to the presence of a senior northern officer in an STC stronghold.

🇾🇪 Some protesters were seen demanding the release of figures they allege are being detained in Riyadh such as Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Da'ari from the former UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) Armed Forces

As noted by observers, these growing divisions within the Yemen's anti-Houthi camp will only strengthen the Houthis

Israeli forces destroyed more than 2 kilometers of Hezbollah underground infrastructure beneath the Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon tonight after establishing control over the area above and below ground.

The sprawling network housed a central command complex of Hezbollah’s Badr Unit, including command centers, weapons depots and living quarters designed for prolonged underground operations.

Dozens of Iranian-made rockets, missiles and UAVs were found inside, alongside anti-tank missiles, machine guns, mines and hundreds of explosive devices. The strategic facility had been developed over 2 decades with Iranian funding and planning.

This network was built over two decades, funded and directed by the Iranian terrorist regime. In recent months, our forces have encircled the area and increased pressure on the routes and on the terrorists who were entrenched within. All the terrorists who were in the infrastructure have been eliminated or have fled. Despite Hezbollah's declaration that it would defend the infrastructure at all costs, it failed and even abandoned its people to die inside.

Alongside the achievements and the completion of the mission, the fighting has taken a heavy toll on us. Our soldiers, the best of our sons, the salt of the earth, fell in the battles to capture and clear the mountain. We have completed the mission, and these achievements are primarily for them. We will continue to protect the settlements in the north and work to remove any threat to our citizens and our forces. Just as we acted here, we will continue to operate along all the borders.

Joint statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz:
In accordance with the directive of the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister, the IDF has now destroyed the underground infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization on the Ali Taher ridge, thereby completing the organization of the security zone in southern Lebanon.

This is a strategic terror infrastructure that was built over two decades, funded and planned by Iran. The terror infrastructure and headquarters on the ridge were intended to serve as a base for the conquest of the Galilee and controlled observation and fire over Metula and Kiryat Shmona. Their destruction completes the achievement of operational control over the Ali Taher ridge—both above and below ground.

IDF forces are preparing to defend the area and to prevent the enemy's return to the territory.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 was measured in Lebanon as a result of the explosion.
 
🇮🇱❌🇱🇧🇮🇷 — Footage shared by the Israel Defense Forces and Israeli Prime-Minister Benjamin Netanyahu showed the destruction of the largest Iranian outpost outside of Iran - the Ali al-Taher Ridge in Lebanon.

➡️ The underground complex is about 15 km (10 miles) from the Israeli ​border and has become one of the most contested areas of the war ⁠between Israel and Hezbollah.

📝 Hezbollah is believed to have built an underground command ​centre and weapons stores there, according to Lebanese security sources who spoke to Reuters ​in July.

➡️ Among the equipment visible appear to be Jordanian-made KADDB Al-Wahsh armored vehicles, 23mm anti-aircraft guns, ammunition, and artillery pieces, with some of that equipment reportedly now being moved east.

This comes amid reports that the Houthis are mobilizing additional forces deeper into Taiz.
