Yes it is possible, actually in most countries so offshore jurisdictions it is possible to‌ appoint nominees, it is just not always public known since some countries don't allow this.‍

When I have nominee director to sign contracts and agreements will they also be able to sign a Merchant account agreement? Will I need a nominee shareholder while I have the Nom. director?

You can change the director and shareholder of a company as many times as you‌ need it, so the nominee director & shareholder. You just have to pay for it.‍ I'm in the process to do such a change..
