Bankera has gone totally crazy

It's very strange, but you should ask them how they came up with that idea!‌

Regarding re-KYC, as already mentioned, it's so common now with all banks in Europe, at‍ least.
 
Yeah I had a message about KYC when I logged in, I've used the service‌ and card infrequently since opening it a few years back. I probably have put about‍ 5k euros through it in total.
 
DeFi, Bitcoin, Monero, etc., solves this! 😉

Might be, Bankera's policy is all but customer friendly, IMO 😉
Nevertheless, re-KYC is‌ really common. I have this experience, too (not with Bankera).
Well, and have they said︂ that for a business account they will not verify you more? 😉
A frequence of usage and account balance does︆ not mean much re: KYC. In fact, it means almost nothing.
 
Too low global coverage, unfortunately.
Almost nobody uses crypto, almost no businesses accept crypto, too much‌ hassle with cryptocurrency exchanges, and so on.
 
In the‍ last two years, beginning June 2022, +99% (I keep a diary) of my expenses and⁠ payments (business payments, of course, bump this percentage up) have been done seamlessly with crypto!⁤ P2P! No middleman was involved. 😉

I just paid using USDT in a VERY famous restaurant⁣ (for their La Bistecca alla Fiorentina ) in Firenze a few weeks ago when I⁢ took my agnate Italian elderly relatives (aunts, uncles) for dinner and wine. 😉

I urge you︀ to explore this. 😎

So if you pay in money from an account in your︃ name, and move it to an exchange, they want to see what you did with︄ it? lol.
 
Do not use this service, i Wrote in other topic, I was using their‌ bank account only because for personal expenses, I was paying out from my company to‍ my personal bank account and using their card to pay hotels, groceries, gas, and daily⁠ expenses.
I was L3 verified.

At one moment 6 months ago I was reached by⁤ support and they told me since I am using their account to receive money from⁣ company I need to upgrade to business for few extra $$$ per transaction.
I accepted⁢ and it all worked fine for 6 months.

One day account got suspended without any︀ notification in app or email, I found hard way while trying to pay with card︁ in supermarket.

After 2 weeks with chatting with support on daily basis I got email︂ that my account is not suspended but frozen temporarily due to regular KYC check (even︃ I was L3 verified already).
In 4 emails I had to provide over 12 documents,︄ even passport copy verified by apostile, my company bank statement from other bank, my business︅ information, bills, invoices (have no idea how is this related since my business has nothing︆ to do with them neither i was receiving business payments on their accounts, but ok,︇ I had nothing to hide so I delivered). I even delivered my full time employment︈ contract, confirmation about tax payments.

After that no response for a month now, account still︉ suspended and my funds are frozen. They did not even offered me to pay me︊ out and close the account.
Instead they suspend, keep quiet and keep funds.
 
And keep‌ your personal and business information
 
You can complain to Bank of Lithuania, maybe after having officialy complained to Bankera (they‌ may have a form to do that on their website).
 
Needless to say, I won't be supplying that, so it's an EMI consigned to the‌ rubbish bin of history. It is unjustified.

I should also add this is very low‍ five figures as well.

I did notice that the Lithuanian guy who was pushing them⁠ on here heavily no longer does so.
 
for me their business model is quite unclear, if they position themselves as a EMI‌ for desperate people holding a "wrong" passport color or having a "wrong" residency then why‍ make those peoples' lives even more difficult?
and if I had a "good" passport color⁠ or resided in the EU why would I ever use Bankera? lol. I could have⁤ just walked in to any normal bank or registered in N26 or similar "normal" EMI.⁣

Data are the new gold. The more they gather and forever record here and︄ there the more the populations will be under control. Do not provide.
 
I have good passport and good residency. Nothing dodgy going⁢ on with any transactions, plain as day.
 
i provided because I really have nothing to hide, unless they publish it publicly⁠ which is prohibited i guess i am fine
 
Bankera is not a good EMI compared to others ! EUR transfers take 3 days‌ to be received (in some banks they are instant), crappy app design, KYC and SOF‍ all the time. Plenty of better EMIs out there !
 
I did a 4 digit transfer about 2 weeks ago and the person received it⁤ within an hour to my surprise.
 
i even had few transactions that took 7 days within sepa, and those were small‌ amount, few hundreds, but it happened occasionally only
