Friends, this thread is devoted to Personal Credit Cards. Have it in mind, please. All posts related to the price/performance ratio of CH banks were moved here https://www.offshorecorptalk.com/threads/are-swiss-banks-expensive-or-not.46930/ 🙂

I am just a simple countryman. Anything I say is only a personal opinion, not a certified advice 🙂

If you think it makes sense, you can like it; if opposite, please, tell me, why I am wrong...

Kazakhstan is a country wirh strict currency control. Once you send your money there, it is in Kazakhstan forever without a special permit. Card official currency is Tenge. If you have USD and want to pay in USD with card, you loose up to 5 percent in exchange USD-Tenge-USD

Have you actually opened the link or even owned the card? It is a multi-currency card in KZT, EUR, USD. Why would it go to KZT and then back?

Also, what is the problem with capital controls if you use a debit card?

Note from the homepage: Non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan, customers with a residence permit, and persons under the age of 18 years, are required to visit a Bank outlet to open the card.

To bad: 5 visits with PRIORITY PASS card.
Other Amex have access to the lounge without limit, I need only this.

nearly all AMEX cards don't allow unlimited Priority Pass visits since last year, they changed the rules!

Get yourself Revolut Ultra (600 EUR py), Dragonpass included with unlimited visits

No. Every other AMEX Platinium has unlimited lounge access.
Unfortunately I can't use Revolut Ultra, it's for EEA citizens, which I'm not.

this is totally untrue. In Germany 50 per year are only allowed, Switzerland and Austria will change it shortly according to AMEX SVP I spoke to recently.

Get yourself a Bulgarian address (cheap) and apply for Revolut Ultra via that route
