Yes Monaco seems ideal, but Toums is french so can't do.

Toums, it's suprising how‌ much we have in common.

As regards to the second citizenship, have you explored the‍ Jordanian one? I have only superficially explored it, lacking time these days and I am focused on the UAE golden visa. It seems it requires to deposit about 1M usd⁤ in cash interest free for 3 years. I don't like the part where you have⁣ to deposit the money first but it's not guaranted to work though...

not really. Both are‍ pretty ok to be used 😉.
The better banks are all ok with it.

Philippines, cambodia, laos, paraguay, panama fit your description more.

For ALL accounts (banks, brokers, CEX‍ etc..) already opened then it's not a problem as you can still 'forget' to update your address in their systems.

Moreover I also have TIN in differents countries (because of⁤ real estate investments or previous residencies). Can also just use budapest address, or my portuguese⁣ address (where i can still have my NHR tax scheme till 2030 if i go⁢ back to live there, or even my maltese residency ID card.. I think its really︀ not a big problem to juggle with these banks to say this or that address︁ or this or that TIN, IF needed.

As said also, I dont think its a︂ problem to give Thai address or UAE address in most of the case anyway.

Why put 1M usd in cash interest free in UAE for 3 years?⁢ You can also get the UAE golden visa by investing in real estate (from bit︀ more than 200K€) for 2 years golden visa. or 500K€+ for 10years Golden visa.

No clue about Jordania tbh..

That 1M USD over 3 years is for the jordanian passport, not the UAE golden visa.

but only if you have a lot of money, all below 500,000 US$ won't let you get residency in Monaco.

What is a better approach then? I am interested in setting up something‌ there.

you need a warm intro by a buddy who banks in‍ xyz monaco bank. Or an "internal" transfer.

For the second citizenship, if your child is born in Argentina, it will get Argentinian‌ citizenship.
You can then also get citizenship for the parents, but you will probably have‍ to spend some time in Argentine to prove that you have ties to the country.

Welcome to Bangkok! It's nice here.

Thanks for sharing - useful for me. Let me‌ comment a few points of your message.

You will⁣ need to declare at least some taxable income, otherwise tax authorities are reluctant to issue⁢ TIN / tax residency certificate.

A few Singaporean banks refused to open accounts for me in︁ similar circumstances. They cited as main reasons "1) If 10-20% of your income is from︂ crypto, it's ok, if all funds you want to deposit are from crypto it's difficult"︃ and "2) You declared address is an obscure jurisdiction which requires us to get additional︄ approval from head office etc. Thailand would be much easier, we have many clients from︅ there. Thailand is perfectly fine". You have second point covered, so may work for you.︆

If your︈ Portugal residency is via golden visa scheme, you may qualify after five years without the︉ need to live there.

I've done that and︌ I didn't like the process. You will hardly get passport faster than in a year.︍ Also they have changed the process recently to require more personal visits (e.g. now you︎ need to provide fingerprints at residence permit step; before the step could have been done️ by a lawyer without you present).

I believe would not work for Malta if it's what you are thinking about.

If it's more difficult than "Sell at Kraken, transfer to HSBC France,⁣ they are happy with unlimited amounts, no questions" and you care to describe this a⁢ bit, it would be interesting.

Would you mind naming these banks? Was it premium/priority accounts? How much AUM‍ was required?

"Difficult" does not mean impossible, favourable outcome could be linked to the deposit size.

This was explicitly told by Standard Chartered, implied by OCBC. It was the lowest tier premium requiring about 250K Singaporean. I don't even think they insist⁤ on managing that for a % of AUM until higher tier private banking.

I mentioned⁣ that I plan to deposit more than 250K and net worth is more again. I⁢ got an impression that it's a red flag for them, but not a show-stopper if︀ everything else checks out, including size of deposit.

there was a big scandal in⁢ singapore a while ago. maybe they are somewhat uneasy at current times.

A) As an EU resident, I didn’t need to apply for a Golden︊ Visa in Portugal. I simply obtained regular residency by moving there and applied for the︋ NHR tax regime. Yes, I’ve heard that you can apply for citizenship after 5 years,︌ but you have to learn/speak proper Portuguese (language test required before being granted citizenship).

B) Oh, interesting... but did you eventually get your passport? Did you buy a property there?︍

C) I have an HSBC Expat (Premier) account (Jersey) but not using for that. At︎ least no directly. I wouldn't feel confortable to send huge crypto cash-out directly from any️ CEX to French banks.. as a french citizen (even if not resident since more than‌ a decade). Most probably you increase risks of question/trouble for nothing..

I see. Yep, I got my passport. There was a detailed post of mine on the︁ forum. I bought a property, lots of hassle. Just until a few weeks ago it︂ was possible to make a deposit in Turkish bank without currency risk. Now this option︃ is closed, only straight Turkish lira, which is losing its value fast, so only real︄ estate is reasonable.
