To buy crypto or USDC, the ZKP2P extension of PeerAuth is mandatory in terms of fiat movement. Without it, even after ZKP2P redirects you to an on-ramp service like Wise, which I used, your login will be unresponsive. Once you install PeerAuth, the login procedure becomes similar to the usual login experience we expect. I prefer using a link rather than a QR code to conduct payments. I recommend Ungoogled-Chromium, as the headline stated that the Brave browser has issues during the crypto purchasing process. Even with Firefox-based and DuckDuckGo browsers, I was unable to buy crypto.
Installing PeerAuth in Ungoogled-Chromium is really a pain. Used a burner PC with Chrome Browser installed to set up the extension. After installation, you’ll need to extract and download it in .CRX format using both an extension extractor and a service that requires email registration, which does not allow account deletion, even though registered with a generated alias email address. Afterward, dispose that tainted alias address.
After successfully logging into Wise through PeerAuth verification, you will be redirected to the seller you’ve selected to buy crypto. Transfer your exact funds amount and desired foreign currency. Pay attention that additional fees may apply for cross-currency payments.
When filling in the Wise reference note, follow the PeerAuth instructions to avoid entering "crypto" or any related terms. After you pay (transfer) the minimum amount required by the seller, in my case $50.00 as needed by ZKP2P, PeerAuth will display your entire Wise transaction history. Select your purchased crypto transaction from that history.
Lastly, wait for transaction verification. This last part I messed up. I mistakenly clicked “Complete Onramp” too many times, not realizing that ZKP2P first buys BASE USDC, which will automatically swap to my requested SOL USDC later. So, the “Complete Onramp” process got disrupted. Luckily, despite the disruption, ZKP2P retained my BASE USDC in its native wallet that allow me to swap it to SOL USDC later through the “Send” option to other wallets.
The entire fiat movement process is just installing PeerAuth, logging into Wise, selecting your desired currency, transferring the exact amount to the seller, and then allowing the seller to wait for your transfer. Once they receive the amount, PeerAuth automatically transfers your purchased DeFi crypto to your wallet within 1-2 minutes.
