People don't understand the purpose of VPN as this user made it perfectly clear

What people usualy perceive and want as VPN is bandwidth and URI sharing with location and content obfuscation - overlay and mix network. The idea is compelling but VPN is centralized logging nightmare if you aren't controlling the server backend.

TOR, Hyphanet and I2P are (only) conceptualy better suited for above requirements.
