Youngsters are getting dumber

Not the usual rant about young people: Gen Z — the first generation officially dubbed dumber than the last
Scrolling and gpt is frying their neurons, while they think they are smart.
When I receive a job application or a collab proposal written with GPT (and it is recognizable from a mile) I immediately discard it and blacklist the sender. How can you trust someone who is not even able, or doesn’t put the effort, to write a few sentences?

I find most of Gen Z disrespectful and arrogant. Definitely social media are having a negative impact on them.

I have some very intelligent Zs who work for me. They mock the “brain rot culture”, as they call it. There is definitely a selection process in my hiring. It’s amazing how you can spot AI generated writing every time. Something about how the words are chosen and put together makes the voice of the writing seem unnatural. I can’t quite pin down exactly what that is, though.

How do you find them? Incredibly, there are quite a few who didn’t even complete school, because they consider it “useless”, and even more shocking are the parents who allowed this

I’m afraid that the stupid AI style will become the norm for humans, not viceversa. The AI patterns are really annoying, and they are the same in every language.
