I've just checked a bin of my Bangkok‌ bank card, and it has a credit bin, even though the card is debit.

So, OP, you can try that, it should work.

Thanks! I will try that. I am flying to⁠ BKK in 2-3 weeks too and will try to get secured CC from a couple⁤ banks I have accounts at.

Man, wish I didn't think too hard and just went⁣ ahead when you offered me remote account opening at Chase. Hindsight is always 20/20 lol⁢ stupi#21
