I am happy with SharkVPN + Firefox using uBlock, NoScript + a HTTPS plugin.
It really depends on your threat model. If you're doing something that's pretty illegal you should look into Tails which is very simple to use and also the best for privacy.

I use NordVPN. Don't have that much experience in different VPN's, but as many different big news sites, state Nord main pros: Nord has the best security features. Such as Double VPN, Tor-over-VPN, Killswitch. Personally, I'm happy with their service.

I agree, together with TOR browser and other security methods it's working just perfect.
