It depends on your budget and personal preferences. Most of them are fine, from the Caymans (most expensive) to the Dominican Republic (cheapest).

There’s no path from student visa to green card. The only way is from student visa to being exceptionally good at what you do and finding a company willing yo go through the pain with the department of︀ labor of getting you an H1 then a million years later getting a green card.︁ This option is however dead since the Trump presidency. Another option is being some sort︂ of genius who can benefit the country or a top notch athlete who will probably︃ be a world champion and get an EB1. The easiest way is marriage. So your︄ friends might have lied to you lol
