Where should I bank?

I'm really struggling to find a good offshore bank that im both comfortable with in terms of jurisdiction and that will take me. I am a US citizen and I'm looking for somewhere that will let me open an account with say $25K. Any good recommendations are appreciated and I'm not interested in Belize. Really just need some help as to where is best 🙂

most of banks do not accept US citizens nowadays
you need to take a look‌ at Latin America (for instance, Panama), it's common place for US citizens

also, you may‍ try some EMIs, such as Transferwise

Have you considered Canada? Some banks there can link to your US bank account to‌ easily transfer between them.

OP, I would go with an EMI if I was you it's much⁠ easier and you can handle your money like you want. You want to have a⁤ look at this list List of Banks, EMI's, Payment processors and BTC to FIAT institutions.⁣

After all the changes last year and this year it's almost impossible to get a⁢ offshore bank account.

Canada is‌ offshore for a US resident.
What would be the purpose of using a small island‍ bank? Unless they didn't signal FATCA?
