Hi,

I am looking for ideas on what you would do with $100k that is just sat doing nothing. I currently have that amount in an old bank account and am looking for ideas about what I could do with it. I have no immediate need for it. I have some ideas what to do with it based on other things I've put money in over the years, but looking to see what opinions people have and what I might have missed.

Ideally, I'd like to put it somewhere where it can compound or at the very least not just lose value. The ideas can be anything:

Spunking it up a wall
Crypto
Property
Vanguard type investment
etc.

100K is not much. it depends on how much risk you can tolerate and what‌ your skillset is. If you just want to protect it a little bit from inflation,‍ then ETF's or property is a safe bet. If you want to take a change on making a bigger sum, invest it in your own business, a small market cap⁤ company/crypto, trading, angel investing, etc.

This is pretty much what⁣ I was thinking thu&¤#. Aside from the crypto part as crypto is just speculating and⁢ nothing to do with investing.

P.S Please no one suggest he invests in NFT's....lol stupi#21

Well, if you believe that Crypto will go to 0 and simply disappear in a near future then you may think accordingly it is pure speculation.

Otherwise, if you⁤ see real value in Crypto then it's an (relatively long term) investment.
Just check the⁣ BTC chart from its inception till now and remove your shades 😉.

I would invest in my own project, something like an online game, website, service. Especially‌ a new NFT project 😀 people love NFTs so we should mint more and sell them.‍ That's a good direction in the near future while the hype is hot. NFTs can be anything, starting from in-game items/characters/buildings to any other imaginable in-game asset. I don't really⁤ get the non-gaming NFTs though (art/animations/music) but in-game stuff is hot. Check the WAX blockchain⁣ and marketplace, or Gala games, they're making millions cig-:,

I would not classify stablecoins as "no risk" but nevertheless a valid answer. usdc may‍ be the best of them.

USDC, BUSD, PAX and GUSD‍ should be the safest, then DAI and then USDT. I wouldn't touch the latter

You can use pancake‌ swap and use the BUSD as well. The Binance chain has low fees compared to‍ eth if these should be of concern.
However all stuff Binance are very opaque, but again, no pain no gain.

In my point of view:
  • Spunking it up a wall - up to your preference‌ 😀
  • Crypto - to risky and basically the same as the above
  • Property - amount to‍ small for most of the countries, liquidity issues
  • Vanguard type investment - the safest and most secure of all of the above

Agree, if this is not money you are not going to need inmediatelly in the short‌ term, just buy Btc/Eth and check in 3 years

if you live in western world, 100k is not much as been stated.
So you‌ gotta take on big risks and try to turn it into at least 1M, which‍ then means something.
You can achieve that by gambling in crypto (it does not mean to use the leverage casino of shitmex et. al.) and cryptoprojects but at the same⁤ time it is easy to lose it all.
Or you try to identify a promising⁣ early stage startup. Such investments can also easily 10x especially now with ton of printed⁢ money around. Try to look into payment/finance related ones as this is a hot topic︀ in eu where they pour euros in. The startup in question also just need to︁ be able to move to the next finance round for your investment to be profitable︂ in many cases.

or on the other hand, you move to a very cheap rural︃ backwater place where it will last you a very long time and enjoy life that︄ way.
Thats the two extremes according to your circumstance and constitution, you can aim for︅ a solution in between.

disclaimer: the common no financial advice etc. you know it 😉
