In the spirit of keeping life exciting, I wanted to get ideas on fun things to do and maybe pick up some hobbies along the way.

So, what do you for fun or what hobby do you have to keep life exciting?

Some say I enjoy lawsuits :arghh:
The federal prosecutor, may he RIP, who was my general counsel while I was in college because I was underage, nudged me into studying law at night because I was TOO gullible. I enjoyed the reading part and the knowledge I gathered, but it taught me real quick, I was NOT built for lawsuits/courts. The underhanded and Janus-faced chicaneries k1ll my soul and mental well-being. I stay CLEAR from lawyers and their ilk. Not different than boxing....I love to practice the sport, but I have NO delusions of ever fighting the Tysons of the world. I am NOT built for that life :banghead:

I've bought loads of stuff that I like through the years, that usually, give it some time, will have problems... and I (try to) fix them when it's possible, pretty much it.
Sometimes just fixes, other times crazy mods/upgrades. That's how I don't get bored.
I tend to buy things that could last forever with some maintenance here and there, if I like them.
Anything trashy like recent cars or flats that I might need for some time, I'll lease/rent it. Not convenient I know but I don't want to own/repair shit 😛
I live my life by projects pretty much. Car projects, bike projects, house projects, gardens, hi-fi audio, etc etc
Once you have multiple properties with loads of land, too many cars and motorcycles and bikes and loads of IT stuff you'll never retire completely. 🤣
It applies to gardens, lawns, fish ponds, pools, houses, cars, bikes etc
I don't like easy hobbies.
I find that getting my hands dirty on mechanical stuff relaxes my mind and kind of grounds me when I am exhausted from IT/business.
maybe because it was my passion when I was a kid.
I have enough experience that can do mechanical repairs at least on par if not better then my old local porsche dealer.
A college friend's dad had a porsche/bmw shop and that how it started. Spent so much time there.
Got so many tools that could easily turn it into a business, but the fun would end.
I prefer to keep business and fun separate.

Then when you need special tools to do a job, you don't buy the "very limited special tools", you build them! it never ends, it goes full circle 🤣
But once you are at this level it gives you the freedom of living in the middle of nowhere (up to a point), if you want.
It's like entrepreneurship when you do something nobody has done before (or everyone tell you it's impossible) and it works... same feeling.

love steel, can weld etc but I hate body repairs, and wood working and concrete/plaster etc
Could develop complex mechanical/metal things with tight tolerances, but if you put me in front of a dented body panel or a wood working project, my body/brain refuses it.

I am not into that kind of creativity and don't have that kind of patience. I use my creativity in my IT/online businesses.
I like to design/project/create custom things too, but when it's wood/concrete/body repairs I always pay experts that can to that to top notch level.
Hope 3d printing will fix this in future, we're not that far 🙂

One could say that i am enslaved by things...
In my book it's ok as long as I enjoy it, it's much better than being enslaved by other people 🙂

Always hated to live in cities unless it's a first line sea view penthouse (and must be a very clean sea and beach). But I get bored there, it's just for short term... I need land, space, and away from complaining neighbors.
