US SMLLC Beneficial Ownership Information Filing

Hello,

My registered agent for Wyoming LLC told me that I need to file my BOI report by January 2025.

Their website also says the same: https://fincen.gov/boi-faqs#B_1

Anyone else has filed this report already? Is there anything I need to be careful about? Canadian citizen, non-US resident, Single Member USLLC with no US-connected income in my case.

Yes. We discussed the US address problem many times here. You can and have to‌ use your US address when they ask for an yes address. It did not make‍ you tax resident in the US or anything.

This is a‌ quite new regulation, in force less than a year, so not so much experience to‍ expect...

@Clank is 100% right. BOI⁤ is to be delivered to the federal institution; and be advised it is a felony⁣ to lie to a federal official, under the US law. So really do not claim⁢ what is not true, to avoid unnecessary big trouble.

If you know what to fill in their form, then maybe do it, but‍ if you're unsure about what information to provide, it can be difficult and take a⁠ bit more time.
