Transfers with Transferwise

In most cases that I have seen, the recipient will see your name or something along the lines of "TransferWise on behalf or <your name>".

It might depends on which currency you use, though. I suspect in some cases (smaller, exotic currencies) the recipient might only see TransferWise, not your name.

This is the probably the answer to your question.

for unsupported currencies (without your personal bank details) it looks like this

sender: TRANSFERWISE LTD
reference/message for recipient: <YOUR NAME> TransferWise ID <SOME LETTERS AND NUMBERS>

for EUR SEPA transfer there's your name and personal IBAN (not a word about transferwise)

It depends on currency, destination and amount.

Ex: They will use your name for EUR SEPA transactions below €10K. If it is higher than €10k, sender will be Transferwise but it is different SEPA transaction with "Initial Originator" field which will be your name.

very interesting, it's possible because while I send higher 5 figures via transferwise monthly I always avoid single transaction higher than 9k

I was checking different times with EUR only, most often TransferWise in Europe, but in Turkey they see your company name.

Even with personal bank details it can look like that i.e for TW's SGD account transfers 😕. However I heard they are working to fix this as SGD personal accounts are new.

Thats exactly right. You can add also sending from TW local currency account i.e EUR to a GBP destination account at another bank will show Transferwise Ltd as sender. In end you will find you honestly just have to test with a small transfer.

I did a CHF transfer this week (below 10k) and it showed for the first time my company name. Previously it always carried TW name
