Do not confuse CRS with MCAA. Both are completely different and have not much in common.

Can you explain the difference, I always thought there was only CRS ?

Is it worth to start a new thread with up to date countries, information and regulations for 2024 / 2025 ?

United Arab Emirates (Dubai) qualifies too. Even though they officially participate in the CRS, this doesnt apply for their residents. So if you get a Residence Visa in the UAE, you have automatically non-CRS status. This is fact - even though not published officially.

This is generally valid for any country? or just Dubai? what about Bahrain?

yeah but it depends on the bank.
its possible yes, its not prohibited. They can also report to indicia e.g. you putting in a brazilian phone number and they report there as well.

It's probably rare that they do, but of course, anything is possible.

If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability!
My personal favorite thread posted in the Mentor Group. Group of investment companies to avoid licensing.

I think he is saying just getting a residency VISA means UAE doesn't report you, even if you are not a 'tax resident' and only live there 1 day per year. I wonder if there's any source that confirms this. I doubt it

Yes I understood that part, I'm asking if this is valid for UAE only or any country

IF the UAE does not report I wonder why people are fleeing from Dubai now ?

Isn't this list somewhat redundant, given that most countries (if not all) now report in one way or another, making it no longer possible to hide a bank account from the authorities anywhere? It takes much more effort to do this today, and we should keep this discussion within the Mentor Group rather than here.

If anyone thinks they can escape their fate by having an account in a non-CRS country, I think they're in for a rude awakening one day when they're sleeping soundly, believing their money is safe.

Do you want a total anonymous company with bank account? Get a step by step guide on how to do that here, it only requires mentor group gold.

As long as that's 'sitting' not passing through - im good with that.

If its passing through, i'm gonna keep circulating funds till i raise a credit line to drain, may as well get the benefit of CRS

Yes, I think most of those non-CRS countries will cooperate if requested by your home country bank. The Philippines has very bureaucratic KYC adherence but I am sure they would be happy to report beneficiaries, tax and banking information if required. Maybe I am wrong as I haven't tested it and since the tax rate is only slightly different on minimal profits, it isn't a large concern for me there (yet).

No absolutely if there are no agreements they dont share info. And why would any country ask for the info if no other flags have been raised.

Hmm, I doubt they would deny a request from a tax authority from one of their customers basic details. Or maybe they need my approval? I will get to test it out at some point haha

I wish Thailand was on that list as that's where I'd prefer they weren't talking to each other

Unless there are other flags raised nobody is asking about your info from another country where they dont have agreements to share information. However if a specific request is made then the story changes.
