Is it correct that swissquote takes 1%+ for every buy or sell order on crypto ?

Which jurisdiction? They are in CH, LU and UAE.
Check their websites accordingly.
Please not‌ that in CH there's a stamp duty on top.

I just saw they claim to start from 0.5% but when trying to buy‌ a major coin i get like 1.2% per order even they claim max fee is‍ 1%

Even for real currencies from 0.95% ........
Even my local bank offers a fee⁠ 4 times better than theirs.
