Swiss bank account, is it better to open while you are in Switzerland?

Does anyone knows if it is possible to open a swiss bank account remote? Or is it better to open the account when I'm there?

Definitely better to open when you are there.


Most Swiss banks do not open accounts remotely with the notable exception of servicing UHNW clients.


Opening an account when you are physically present to meet with an officer of the bank is ideal.
