South Africa PR (Financially Independent)

Hi all,
If I remember correctly someone here talked before on ofc about SA PR Financially Independent. Did someone here try it and what is the real timeframe to get it without marketing talk. From what I read it can takes years, is it right?

I haven’t pursued it (yet). You can easily obtain residence in other African countries that don’t check/enforce anything, so I’m not sure if it’s worth the price and effort.
