No, what I said doesn't include securities like that. See for example Flow Bank (Bankruptcy proceedings against FlowBank) where many account holders have been able to get their securities out.

By "investment" I was more referring to investment products offered by the bank. Those funds are subject to different (if any) safety mechanisms than deposit insurance.
