All non-custodial local crypto-wallets don't require any remote account to be created except Edge (anonymous, anyway). So they didn't ask you documents because they don't even know you exist‍ as user unless you do some currency swapping inside the app.

Exodus.io has been an awesome platform for my beginner trading efforts. It is much easier‌ to quickly exchange coins to a current rate. So I like that the enter UI‍ is very userfriendly and has less functionality compared to Kraken and Binance which are professional⁠ trading platforms.

I have used Exodus and Kraken for almost 2 years. Never had a single issue‌ with it.
