Secure and cheap way to transfer

I am quite new here and tried a search on the subject. There is a lot is really a lot of information out here! Transferwise is coming up a lot but I am not sure it is the best option for my situation. I also saw OFX as recommended for larger sums compared to TW. I realise that maybe getting both security and cheap is quite hard but finding a good value solution would be good.

The situation is:
- lump sum in the 5 figures range and I'm not looking for a regular solution but more of a one off case.
- the origin of the money is China, I guess I will have to change the currency before sending.
- the sender information on the receiving end should be in my name, not from a bundled general account as it is to fund an investment account, possibly Interactive brokers.

Yes I do live in China, have a TIN number associated and am able to provide proof of tax paid on the funds.
