Russian President Putin announces military operation in Ukraine

Exactly

This is exactly what I mean by saying Russia is losing⁣ the war.

As regards the gas sources diversification, this is for sure a great gift⁢ from putler to Europe. Finally, Europe woke up and realized independence from Russian gas is︀ what matters.

Lithuania sensed that many years ago, also was screaming to Europe but nobody︁ listened yet.

We also had full of pro-russia trolls who were fighting inside the country︂ against this gas-independence. Trolls are everywhere, but Lithuanians got used to it. Most Lithuanians think︃ rationally. This is why Lithuania now has a ZERO effect on russia's blackmailing on gas.︄ I am pretty sure my homeland would have ended up the same as Poland or︅ Bulgaria, if not even faster.

Poland has a population of 37.95 million;‍ Lithuania has a population of 2.8 million.
So, switching from Russian gas to LNG is a pretty easy task for Lithuania and has nothing to do with rational thinking.

All this bla-bla of energy independence is irrelevant because no country in Europe will ever be⁤ independent to that regard. They just switch their dependence from one bad actor to another.⁣
The price is high in any case:
  • Option 1 = Buy energy from a puppet⁢ master which just started a regional war. In turn you have low energy prices with︀ which keeps the economy running.
  • Option 2 = Source energy from far away by outdated︁ mode of transportation (ships which are all but environmentally friendly) and pay other bad actors︂ far away from your homeland.
  • Option 3 = Reduce energy consumption to a level that︃ can be produced "at home" (solar, wind,.coal, nuclear in the case of the EU) which︄ in turn means to stop producing for export. It would catapult Europe back to the︅ 19th century.
Well, looking at these options should teach a lesson why it is wise︆ to keep a balanced view and stay neutral.
Bad times ahead .... .

"I think Europe is well︅ on the way to energy indpendence." Notice these people never put a time frame on︆ it. Do we mean 1800 days? 3456 days until we get there?

It was not‍ "pretty easy" and has a lot to do with rational thinking.

At first, there was a referendum so people could express their voice (something different compared with Russia, nobody is⁤ faking results there). Once people agreed we need to have liquefied natural gas terminal and⁣ this way be less dependant on Russia.

It will be the same easy for the⁢ rest of Europe, only a time is needed and I expect it won't take too︀ much longer.

LOL, that's the way I heat my house. I don't like gas/petrol or other‍ polluting stuff. When my IONIC 5 and Tesla Powerwall arrives this summer I'll be 100% off fossil fuels.

Energy independent⁣ no, but high energy efficiency is possible. There should be laws that every new house⁢ is energy efficient, heavy taxes on polluting cars and industries.
Oh, and we can use︀ bicycles to move around small cities, electric cars, and public transport. Just our leaders are︁ retards.

No, and you should know that!
It is a difference if you want to‍ change something in a country with a population of 2.8 million or if you want to to the very same in a country with 37.95 million. Rational thinking!

Btw., with⁤ all this war propaganda it seems that environmental aspects are suddenly no longer important.
Bruxelles and it's command center Berlin are now working on importing LNG from the other side⁣ of the planet to avoid paying to the puppet master. Let's see what future generations⁢ will have to say to this environmental nonsense to transport LNG with stinky ships across︀ the Ocean.
History judges hard with shortsighted strategies.
Fully agree. Just that the electric car is not needed. Simply︃ skip the car altogether. I never had one and am for sure older than you;︄ proof enough that private cars are redundant. 😉

You must come from Russia, where such‌ numbers look intimidating. BP is the only one that looks fairly large compared to its‍ yearly revenue. And these companies get huge tax write offs for such losses.

Someone posted an article earlier about Russian prostitution, where women go crazy because they can earn 15,000⁤ rubles in a single night -- or the equivalent of three days normal pay in⁣ Russia. That is only $ 200.

Your posts just continue to demonstrate how Russia is⁢ really just a third world country. With mindless military aggression, it certainly has a third︀ world mentality.

How many times do we need to discuss this issue? Your own web link says, quite‍ explicitly, that he "was a Ukrainian nationalist." Nowhere does it say that he was a n**i.

In fact, all Eastern European nationalists allied themselves with Germany during WWII to⁤ fight against their oppressors (the Soviet Union). Go back and read my long posts on⁣ this very topic.

This is basic history that anyone in Eastern Europe knows about. Anyone⁢ would have sided with Germany over the vicious, inhuman Soviet scum.

You need to brush up on the Nachtigall Battalion. Although I suspect︀ you already know all too well what they were part of, but will continue to︁ push your pro Ukraine anti Russian agenda regardless.

Sure it‌ does. If you wear the wrong patch on your arm, you need to expect a‍ Russian invasion.

If you store more than one bottle of vodka in your house, you need to expect a Russian invasion.

If your refrigerator contains leftover borscht, you need to⁤ expect a Russian invasion.

If your country merely borders Russia, you need to expect a⁣ Russian invasion -- for almost any reason.

But it has nothing to do nearly 500⁢ years of cruel military aggression and cultural oppression by Russia.

Yeeaaa let's start burning Russian books and banning Russian music. And Russian language of course. And letters Z and V. Also no Russian sportsmen and artists should be allowed to perform any longer.
Oh it's already been done? thu&¤# Now I feel so much freerer and smarter!

Once again, the exact opposite of what you just⁤ said is true. For hundreds of years, Russia tried to extinguish the cultures -- and⁣ even the languages -- of conquered peoples.

It would actually be poetic justice if civilized⁢ nations did, in fact, ban Russian culture as a just punishment for Russia's hundreds of︀ years of mindless aggression against other nations. But civilized nations should not stoop down to︁ Russia's low level of bullying.

Or let's just pretend everything is cool, turn our⁤ heads and let them genocide one whole nation... I mean, after all, they need to⁣ denazify them, right?

I've already posted this, this one is regarding language:

https://twitter.com/x/status/1518787412620726273

Regarding books,⁢ Russians are doing the same in the occupied regions... They are trying to deny Ukrainian︀ culture, language etc.

Regarding letters - nobody is 'banning' letters. In this case in particular︁ and in this context, under 'Z' there has been a lot of genocide, rapes, and︂ murder. Hopefully, you understand when the west doesn't want new 'swastica' being promoted in their︃ states.

As a matter of fact, there have been some pro-Putin marches in the west︄ by some Russian people. I haven't heard of those people being dead or in the︅ gulag? I mean, after all, that's how Russians deal with such situations, but hey. In︆ the west, they enjoy their freedom. Something very unknown in Putin's Russia.

Sportsmen are quiet︇ while they have a huge audience they could use their influence to stop this s**t.︈ All the western benefits for their people will be taken away from them, including making︉ money in the west that they hate so much. It's all gone now as long︊ as they support this BS war. They can always do business and sports events with︋ N.Korea, Belarus, Eritrea, etc.

A lot of people that are approving this shitty war, I︌ have noticed have the same traits.
They are either very often extreme-right wing or hugely︍ into conspiracy theories. Or both...

The first group has slaves mentality and loves to have︎ 'strong leaders'. The second group has a need to be always the opposite of what's️ trending in the media and search for conspiracies in every single thing. Discovering their own‌ truth from flat earth blogs lol.
