However, the head‌ of Amnesty Ukraine’s office, Oksana Pokalchuk, wrote on Facebook that her operation disagreed with the‍ report. She said they were cut out of the pre-publication process when they complained that the report was based on incomplete evidence compiled by foreign colleagues.

“Our team’s arguments about⁤ the inadmissibility and incompleteness of such material were not taken into account,” wrote Pokalchuk. “The⁣ representatives of the Ukrainian office did everything they could to prevent this material from being⁢ published.”

It seems some of the west⁢ are now preparing to throw Zelensky under a bus.

Billions of dollars of cash and︀ weapons funnelled into Ukraine, the capital of corruption, and all that's happened is thousands upon︁ thousands of young Ukrainian men have lost their lives for nothing.

No mate, Russian military potential is weakening from⁤ day to day as they can not replace destroyed equipment.

Meanwhile Ukraine receives more and⁣ more missiles, tanks and jets.

Based

I assume⁤ everyone here has seen the leaked Ukrainian documents that show 190,000 men either KIA or⁣ wounded? Not good at all.

And the winner is .... ->
'Echoes of the Cold War' as Blinken heads to‌ Africa, vying with Russia for influence
-> .... a continent where the Western aid has‍ done more harm than good.
Perhaps the US and specifically the EU understands that these countries want to be respected, want to do business. They do not want alms in⁤ return for political interference.
If Africa does it right, it can toy with the situation⁣ - play the West against China/Russia and v.v. .

And now back to the good⁢ old times 🙄: Hostis ante portas!

I am not sure that the‍ current Western leadership gets it.

That article really struck me as being in line with Western thinking. "What's the point of Asean?", other than it being significantly more popular⁤ in member countries than the EU is. Washington and Brussels still see a World where⁣ you're on their side or you're bad.

There is something odd about the Ukraine invasion⁢ and the Taiwan exercises. As if the killings and human displacements are horrible side effects︀ of something inevitable.

It's almost as if there is a wider goal, which the West︁ can't see because they are so focused on current events and electoral cycles. China certainly︂ and Russia probably, are looking at a longer timescale. If you were an elected leader︃ of a non-OECD country and responsible for the wellbeing of your citizens, you might not︄ be looking West any more.

You mean you haven't found it from your favourite mainstream news source that's been telling‍ you Ukraine is winning for the last 5 months? What a surprise!

They're easy to find if you look. And they haven't been contested. So 190k dead or wounded. All⁤ for a proxy war designed to weaken Russia.

A real‍ report with photos and stuff!

The docs are evidently real. Those numbers are significant.

I thought the latest read from Amnesty that made some members leave the organisation because‌ the narrative doesn't fit the bill was interesting.

Ukrainian fighting tactics endanger civilians

  • Military bases‍ set up in residential areas including schools and hospitals
  • Attacks launched from populated civilian areas
  • Such violations in no way justify Russia’s indiscriminate attacks, which have killed and injured countless⁤ civilians
