I have been following this story ever since I got my first bitcoin, they just successfully brainwashed everyone into thinking Ross is some sort of saint.
The guy ordered 6 (SIX) hits, he was also dumb enough to get scammed 6 different︀ times.

I don't know who is "them" but there are surely "another them" who did the exact opposite

I'm loathe to ban anything, but a healthy society wouldn't do drugs. If the sheep just knew better and did productive things with their lives instead of indulging in vice and shallowness, then banning it wouldn't be a discussion.
Society has largely moved on from cigarettes even though they are not banned. OK I know they've been taxed heavily and advertising is banned, but the point is the same - If people aren't interested or better yet, they know better than to take this stuff, there won't be a big market for it.
Drugs are in the same category as P**N, alcohol, and the new︀ kid on the block: Phone addiction.

and the decades long world-wide war against drugs is a complete failure and financed with money stolen to people who would use it differently - it cost more lives than the drugs would have taken, what more... the wrong lives that have nothing to do with drugs

If that’s true, then I’d like to know what you would do about this exact problem if laws and police surveillance are not an option because they take away personal freedom.

Im not agreeing with decisions of Ross but extorting dude in that kind of business or literally anyone for that matter is the last thing you wanna do if you plan to live long and healthy life. People become animals when cornered, they will defend themselves with anything available.
