The current state of OfC is pathetic; it feels like nothing more than a money grab, probably even more aggressive than before, given the realization that it's a sinking ship. It's almost only providers who respond to questions from newcomers (who disappear just as quickly). These responses are merely an underlying offer from these providers, and therefore the answer is certainly not always correct.
A random example: offshore setups are being offered with EMI, where the EMI is known for not supporting the offshore location. I saw this just yesterday.
Individual input is not warmly received, all to avoid hindering advertisers, and the banhammer is always around the corner. And isn't that EXACTLY what this forum should be about? Where businesspeople with an adventurous spirit share the paths they've taken? A community of pioneers. Advertisers should be on the sidelines of all this.
