Google just banned parler, Donald Trump Michael Flynn and Sidney Powells twitter have been banned. Whats up next ladies and gentlemans? Did the big democratic purge just begin?

That means that it doesn't matter who you are, as long as you⁠ are in my platform I have the control and I put the rules. About classifying⁤ Facebook and Twitter as utilities, I think is not possible but maybe if someone creates⁣ a GOOD alternative into blockchain (maybe a DAPP?)... MAYBE a little portion of the population⁢ move to that decentralized option

when something impact almost the entire population⁣ of the most developped countries on earth you can't just have the CEO pulling whatever⁢ he believes like that, you ought to have some kind of "democracy" on the governance︀ of the platform.
clearly the future is in the hand of decentralized application relying on︁ blockchain tech with decentralized governance, but a bit early for that at this time, pseudo︂ democracy is the only option we have for now.

No you can't have that⁢ rule because it isn't legal in lot of countries and as a business owners will︀ be an REALLY stupid decision, again 0% comparable. If you are going to give examples︁ at least try to give one realistic.

I think︇ democracy is that you are free to choose another option and everybody is free to︈ request money, build their own platform and present their idea/work as an alternative. I'm against︉ that mentality that others have the right to change how I want to run my︊ business (and when I say "I" what I mean "we" cuz Facebook for example has︋ lot of influence from many countries that are shareholders)

I think the issue with Twitter banning Trump is, that its the US Goverment which‌ basically grants them immunity to what is posted on their platform since they are not‍ classified as a publisher. By banning Trump and people who are connected to him, they⁠ take a step from being a platform towards publisher.

Furthermore, what also confuses plenty of⁤ people is that Iranian gov is able to threat Israel and the US on Twitter⁣ without any consequences, or the chinese goverment openly confirming they are performing a genocide. I⁢ think these double standards are what makes most of these people going nuts lol

I would agree but the problem here is there is little to no other⁢ options, we are talking about impacting the flow of information and communication for almost an︀ entire society here, letting this in the hand of a 30 something is a little︁ too much imho ...
I am all for a libertarian society but we still need︂ some basic governance to prevent monopolistic position otherwise we are doomed.

in a way facebook︃ twitter can control who speaks or not, apple and google can control what the majority︄ of people can install on their phone ... this is getting really really bad imho︅

I understand your point and I understand why people is afraid︁ about it but I can't accept that others have the right to control the way︂ I do business, as long as what I'm doing is legal then no one can︃ tell me how I should manage it because I already have lot of governments and︄ companies taking actions into my business since they are big shareholders... Now if I grow︅ a lot I need to allow everybody? What's the point of having a business then?︆

Facebook and Twitter can control who speaks IN their platforms, you can still speak in︇ the TV, radio, podcasts, blogs, streets, business, places, others social platforms, forums, etc (just like︈ always).
With Android and iOS is clearly different since they are really complex devices and︉ software that the majority of people don't have an idea of how to build them︊ but there will be options too (the problem is that no one does it better︋ and customers go away from them) like Blackberry with Blackberry OS (people didn't like it...︌ I like it), Nokia with Symbian (people didn't like it... I like it), Windows with︍ windows phones (people didn't like... I like it) and a big ETC.

In my opinion︎ no one that is not part of my business should tell me how I should️ manage it if I'm not breaking any rule.
