I need to receive a regular mail in Italy but I don't want to be addressed to me so I have taken a look at indabox.it and fermopoint.it but it seems that you have to declare who is receiving the mail, so privacy is lost: any suggestion?

We recently had a discussion about this that was moved to mentor group. It will most likely be the safest option. Why idea what mail you need to receive? Legit or complete bs?

I find myself dwelling not in the stark dichotomy of black and white, but rather in the subtle tapestry woven from countless shades of gray. And before entrusting a matter of legitimacy to the counsel of law, I prefer to first seek the quiet wisdom within myself, to form my own initial understanding rather than surrendering to the immediate embrace of legal arms.

If you have a post box, write the name of the person on it.
Otherwise, just tell the postino where to leave the mail.

Yes, that's about what we have discussed previously and has since been moved to Mentor Group:

There is nothing legal about this. As mentioned, I would use apartment blocks in cheaper areas with high foreigner densities. That's where you are the least suspicious when you occupy a mailbox and then go fishing letters out once per week.

Abandoned houses are usually not a good idea as neighbours etc. will be alert. What you could do is use abandonned multiparty buildings where all windows and doors have been barricaded to avoid illegal occupation and just use the mailbox.
