Question How to buy diamonds?

Hey there!

The issue is rather simple. I would like to buy a diamond ring. Knowing that even experts may make mistake in this field, I need to know where I can buy a decent stone for a rather small budged (5-10k) and not to get scammed.
I know that traders in the places like Dubai are eager to make a fool out of someone unknowledgeable like myself. De Beers, Tiffany and alike are making huge money by selling their reputation. I started to research on Internet and I can only see paid posts and articles out there. Complete mess.

So where should I go to buy a decent stone from decent people for decent money and not be scammed?
Any experts in this field?
