up to what point will offshore banks want for proof of address to really verify if they really live there? passport? would they like to know where the passport was issued? if its a naturalized citizen or not? how will bank verify all of this information to see if someone is lying or telling the truth? can someone please tell me. thank you.

banks usually ask for utillity bill or for bank statement as a proof of address
in most cases they have no possibilities to check anything, they just ask for documents listed in their internal instructions

They need a passport too and in some case they ask for proof of income, documentation for your business like an analytics profile and a CV for your person. Some banks are even require the invoices you send to your customers and for which money arrives on your bank account.

There are lots and lots of cases where you see some people don't have to provide anything while others have to provide loots of documents!

Each bank is different so each business case is!
