Is there a service in Portugal, where you can get a rental contract or lease agreement for a residency visa, but without having to actually rent something and pay the full price? Like a virtual address service, but that's possible to use as a residency?

I'm trying to get a temporary EU residency, that can be extended until naturalization, but without having to live the 6+ months in the year in the country.

EU countries in general do not require physical presence. But you need to be able to communicate in the language of the country and generally need to⁤ be at least somewhat integrated. Having a Portugal residency does NOT lead to citizenship anywhere⁣ but Portugal.

Are you fluent in Portuguese or are you planning to learn it? If⁢ not, you better do the show elsewhere.

I'm willing to learn Portuguese yeah.⁣ Although they may not require full physical presence, I still need an address service there⁢ in order to apply for the D2 or D7 visa, and an Airbnb or hotel︀ is not accepted.

I have a Slovakian residence, I can speak the language at a︁ basic level, but from what I hear, they are strict on the continuous physical presence.︂ So, due not staying 183+ days in Slovakia, my residence there may never actually mature︃ into a citizenship or permanent residence.

Generally not a problem if you paid⁤ taxes there for the time and otherwise can prove that you worked or did something⁣ else there. If you unregister or tell them you live elsewhere in the EU or⁢ your social security contributions are paid in another memberstate (you can only pay in one︀ state), chances will be lower, but that normally goes for all states equally.

For Germany,︁ you can get it here:

Maybe ask this guy if he can do it︂ for 30 if you never show up but he gives you a contract

Thanks for the⁢ links! Will message him, and also the German service looks good. Too bad it seems︀ those private address registration services are not available everywhere.

About Slovakia, yeah, I do pay︁ taxes there and have a company registered, so perhaps that would help. I guess we'll︂ see in a few years.

On an unrelated⁢ note, I'm a long time forum lurker, and I think you're pretty knowledgeable about US︀ LLCs as well? Would you know of a good, private registered agent service that also︁ does annual reports properly, or is that a service you offer through consulting?

I know quite some guys who pick up girls and then use their‍ harem to maintain local address.

Just make sure you don't get out of the⁣ system there. You can only be in the social security system one and only have⁢ one driving licence card per category in the whole EU.

your address should be registered with PT IRS (financials), and a virtual address or co-working‌ mailbox won't work.

beware if you use a sham address you are disqualified for naturalization, so better rent‌ a super cheap apartment to be on the safe side

officially register it with financials, it might cost 500euro+ before taxes, so just plan accordingly
