I see, you can use any address you want as long as you (or someone you might know) have access to it when you collect your card. After that, you'll only get advertising or promotional items from Amex anyway.

This is wrong, you must live in Germany with an address:

Please complete the card application if you can answer the following questions with “Yes”.
Are you over 18 years old?
Is your main place of residence in Germany?
Do you have a German bank account?

Then you have much bigger problems than lounge access 😕

Why should I pay €274 more for Business from Barcelona to Madrid? The flight takes 50 min-1 hour and it's not good value for money.

Why should he pay for dinner in BCN if he can just book a flight with for 19 EUR and then eat in the lounge before missing his flight. Which restaurant let's you eat and drink all you can for 19 EUR, including unlimited girls?

El que ha de ser bachiller, menester ha de aprender.
You must learn how to become a master... at collecting all those girls:

This is why normie lounges have become insufferable lately. People to whom paying for business class is expensive are taking up space and making noise in the once peaceful lounges, because companies like Priority Pass are throwing lounge access at anyone. Thankfully some airports and airlines are investing in first class lounges, which are a little bit better at least.

For getting a foreign credit card ”” have a look at wealth management banking options in Mauritius, if you haven't already. They're often happy to issue EUR/USD credit cards with flexible limits and reasonable fees once you deposit around 10-100,000 EUR/USD. Pretty flexible. Loyalty schemes usually aren't as attractive as many of the cards mentioned here but there aren't a lot of realistic options for non-residents.

For that route, I'd just take a train (first class). Sure, it's around 2.5””3 hours but that's from city center to city center. No wasting time going to airport and going through airport security and so on.

There are more seats in a plane than in a train cart, greatly increasing your risk of being in earshot of bad parents and their hell spawn ”” also in business or first class on short-haul flights with smaller planes and limited separation.

Can't say I've had that experience much on trains in Europe. Always travel with a pair of good headphones and having first class ticket (preferably private compartment). I'd do routes like Madrid””Barcelona on train rather than commercial plane nine out of ten times.

Try it next time. You might like it.

Travelling by train is more expensive than fly. I prefer to fly.

Guys let me do the math for you.

By Train:
99 EUR train ticket
earnings 300 EUR for the work during the 3 hours when working

By Plane:
19 EUR for the fligh ticket
5 EUR for the train to the airport in BCN
5 EUR for the bus to the city in MAD
time spent in the lounge 3 hours
food and drinks consumed while in the lounge: PRICELESS!

Do you have any suggestions/links for this in Mauritius?

None of this makes sense, simply because of the currency conversion. I only need EUR.

Then get a card in EUR.

i dont have an account in any of these. Do they open remotely for non-residents? Or need to travel?

Banks in Mauritius are generally open to remote applications often even without an introducer, especially for personal accounts.

For business accounts, you usually need an introducer or already be known to the bank.

A visit to Mauritius is hardly ever required, although the banks appreciate it. It's a nice place to visit.
