Does anyone know of a substitute for Paypal? I heard Google has started one but I don't know much about it. Has anyone used substitutes for Paypal and how do they work? Are they reliable and safe to use?

Thanks

At the moment, Google Wallet is mainly used in the US but it accepts credit or debit cards from many countries. It acts like a digital wallet, more so in the US as you can tap to pay in-store with an NFC-enabled Android device. As for online shopping, there are a handful of online merchants that accept checking out with Google Wallet.

There is as well moneybookers / skrill and alertpay!

From what I have heard from people who are using it, Google Wallet is an equally great payment option. Although it is operating in the US only, it will accept transactions made through credit/debit cards from almost all countries. Many online merchants (worldwide) are already using Google Wallet.
