I have a UK company. I'm not a UK, US, EU resident.
What are payment processors or gateways that are more tolerant to ecommerce refunds/chargebacks than Stripe, that I could use?

I could use Stripe, but after 1% of chargebacks I'll lose access to it forever. Therefore, for ecommerce I'll better use a more tolerant one, and I'll use Stripe for other things.

Also, is there a way to do a chargeback somehow manually, such that Stripe won't recognize it as such? Perhaps I could simply send money back to a client's account? Or would it create other issues?

Do you have 1% chargebacks or 1% chargebacks plus refunds?

Chargebacks up to 0.50% should usually not be a problem. 0.50% to 1% is where things get intense, and most low-risk processors will throw you out. Above 1% if entering specialist territory.

The tolerance for refunds is much higher, as long as it's more or less aligned with your competition and fits your business model. For ecommerce, this can easily be in the 5-10% range.

This is the probably the answer to your question.

It doesn't matter WHAT I have - 1, 5 or 10%. Re-read my question carefully please.

It does matter what you have (or hypothetically will have). There is a huge difference how PSPs view chargebacks and refunds. Chargebacks are initiated by the card holder. Refunds are initiated by you. Refunds can be used to mitigate chargebacks.

Your question about doing manual chargebacks makes it clear you are very new at this. You don't have a firm grasp on the terminology.

Please feel free to consider a friendlier attitude if you actually want help.

A chargeback is made by your customers directly with the bank or card processors, you have no chance to avoid it if your customer decides to go that route.

It's not going to be easy at all with the payment processors now a days. Stripe, 2co, PayPal and many of the other like Genome, Websitebilling etc. are all working the same way, as soon as you reach a certain threshold your account will be closed.

Fraud protection is the keyword together with 3D secure.

Big difference - I'm aware of it. SO WHAT? That's not what I'm asking about.

Please feel free to leave my question alone if you have nothing for an answer but a demonstration of your unfriendly attitude.

With your attitude @peom you see, you will not get many replies, I close this thread.
