Paraguay residence - my journey

I am in the process of applying for a Paraguay temporary residence permit with the help of @NewHorizonsParaguay
So far he has been very patient with me, answered all my questions and provided many useful information. I am going to be in Asuncion soon, with the objective of completing the whole application process in 30 hours. I hope it can be done since I've an appointment with jungle monkeys shortly thereafter.
All what he needed so far are copies of my criminal record certificate, birth certificate and passport. He will take care of the translations. He's also taking care of my diet. So it seems I'm in good hands.
You also need to provide a scan of your signature and a passport size picture.

Keep posting! I was thinking about this residency in the past, however I don't speak spanish and Asuncion is in the middle of nowhere, flights only from Madrid... so I decided to not go for it.

You can easily reach Asuncion from São Paulo

From what I heard:
For just getting a residence ”“ not a problem with an assistance, as you say.
For living there it is a problem.

local chickens are pretty good there. Its one of the plus points.

A few years back i was also interrested but mainly because of the citizenship.
But moved away as people said its not so easy anymore getting citizenship after you got your residence and lived there for a few years

It ist still possible although harder but you need to renounce unless you are Italian or Spanish.

Renounce to become Paraguayan? What's the benefit of such a decision for a majority of the people taking up residency there?

This might be one of the best use cases of those CBIs. Buy a Dominica/st kitts/insert any other banana island here passport so you can later renounce it and obtain a PY one.

Of course, you shouldn't disclose it to PY. I understand you can hide your other citizenships (I'm doing that myself).

I understand for you it's not a concern but when it comes to less fortunate applicant I don't think PY officials are so silly to believe that St. Kitts is his only citizenship, do you?
