Panama Corporation Law 129 of 2020

Hello,

Brand new to the forum and to offshore companies in general. I'm thinking of setting up a Panama company for privacy reasons. I am based in the UK.

I just learned about Law 129 of 2020 and wondered about the implications of this law.

Let's set a hypothetical situation where the UK Government or Government agencies (for example the ICO) wanted to discover the beneficial owner(s) of a Panama company. Does this law mean they can do any of the following:

- Perform a BFO search?
- Approach the government?
- Any other means of obtaining information?
