opening bank account in cyprus might need "tax clearance certificate"

hi Masters

A. so i am planning to open cyprus company as a non resident (from an Asian country)

+ bank account in cyprus to receive money from my credit card processor for my online business

B. then my formation company said that opening a bank account in cyprus

1. bank will definitely require your tax country and

2. may ask for tax clearance certificate.

as I dont have tax number in my residence country (never file tax report),

so it is impossible for me to have tax clearance certificate

any idea what should i do?

yes they will but if you don't have such number you can tell them so. Otherwise just give them a number and that's fine. Has been working for many to do it.

This is unusual at least for the providers I have been working with.

Find a agent that don't require this certificate. Most often the agent is the one asking for all the documents to cover their bag towards the bank.
