Unfortunately something broke down a few months ago.

Seems a standard KYC request. If they weren't sending me this for 4 months now. Four months of this identical nag. I sent them everything short of a childhood diary, including my criminal record certificate, audited financial accounts (for 2 companies), tax returns, bank statements... The monkeys entered guru meditation mode and started looping the same checklist like NPCs with a memory leak.
Of course support doesn’t read. Same copy-pasted requests, no engagement with prior answers.

Additionally, a few months ago they started to put crypto withdrawals “under review". Hours or days to “verify” a destination address, including ones belonging to major exchanges, that take seconds to verify onchain. When you are lucky. Someone I know was not allowed to move crypto to Binance, Crypto.com or Kraken, and was forced to sell it for fiat; and fiat could only be sent to the same account that made the original deposit.

More OKX red flags​

  • Single point failure history. One “unavailable” key holder in 2020, and withdrawals froze for weeks.
  • Proof of reserves cosplay. Merkle selfies without full liabilities prove nothing.
  • Listings + venture ties. When the platform invests in ecosystems it lists, expect conflicts. You’re exit liquidity until proven otherwise.
  • Here today, gone tomorrow features. Services get axed the moment they’re inconvenient; you have zero say.
Verdict: avoid. There's ample choice today.
 
I still dont get how such things are possible. Is this like a legal loop hole to steal your money 🤔.
What if you send an official letter from a lawyer to let you withdraw crypto, would it work?
No. And they know I won’t do that, as I have just $2k worth of shitcoins there.

You keep ignoring what I write.

I attempted to withdraw my crypto to Kraken. Those withdrawals sat for days with the status “checking exchange wallet,” then were cancelled without explanation. No rule cited, no specific risk reason, no remediation steps. Just cancelled.

Your suggestion to freeze or close the account is irrelevant. I have no intention of keeping an account with OKX or using your platform again. My only future interaction with OKX will be warning others to stay away from what I now consider a fraudulent and obstructive company.

Here’s what I need from you now:

  1. Process my withdrawal to Kraken immediately, or
  2. Provide a clear, written reason for the cancellation that references the exact policy/requirement breached, and the precise documents or steps needed to resolve it.
Additionally, confirm:

  • Whether OKX supports withdrawals to Kraken addresses as a matter of policy, and if so, why mine were blocked.
  • The internal review that led to the “checking exchange wallet” status and subsequent cancellation.
  • A named point of escalation in Compliance for this case.
Until this is resolved, spare me canned links about freezing or closing an account. Either release the funds to my Kraken addresses or provide a verifiable, policy-based refusal in writing so I can escalate this formally.
