So apparently a freelancer demo caused panic in OCT land because - brace yourselves - someone figured out you can scrape a XenForo forum! 🤣 That’s like being shocked water is wet. Cyprus Insider covered it with a classic SEO paid article, as if scraping usernames and posts from a “public” forum is some kind of black-hat wizardry.

Meanwhile, OCT keeps preaching about “freedom of speech” while running a gated community where the freedom extends as far as agreeing with the admin’s business model. You get banned faster there than a freelancer can run a Python script.

The irony is delicious: a forum that censors relentlessly, sells access to useless content, and pretends to be a safe space for offshore rebels now crying about… data scraping. Next headline: OCT Discovers Copy-Paste, Demands EU Intervention.

On the JohnnyDoe forum, we embrace open discussion instead of pretending to be rebels while hiding behind cookie-cutter XenForo walls.
Everyone is free to scrape, copy, paste and do whatever he wants with the content of this site. In fact, The pirate walks free while the world obeys. We ❤️ Ctrl+C Ctrl+V

As further proof that there is no limit to stupidity, the Danish owner of OffshoreCorpTalk has filed (in Danish) an application for registering the EU Trademark “OffshoreCorpTalk”: https://www.tmdn.org/tmview/#/tmview/detail/EM500000019234772
Does he really think that this will help his fight against scraping? 🤣
Or perhaps he is afraid that someone can steal or misuse such valuable and unique name? 💩
The guy must be using someone found on OCT as his legal IP advisor 🤣

Anyway now we officially know what OCT is about:
“Dissemination of advertising for others via the Internet; Dissemination of advertisements via the Internet; Dissemination of advertising for others via an on-line communications network on the internet; Dissemination of advertising, marketing and publicity materials; Dissemination of advertising via online communications networks.”

This kind of block doesn't do nothing in practice.

@JohnLocke is probably preparing the grounds for a DMCA complaint against johnnydoe.is, because he thinks it will be stronger once he has a registered TM.
Meanwhile, he continues to recycle information he collects on the web, like this guide: Anonymous signup to Telegram without a smartphone, emulator or phone number (fast & expensive)

Carlo Cipolla teaches us that a stupid person is a person who causes losses to another person or group of people when he or she does not benefit and may even suffer losses. What a prime example of stupidity!

I’ve heard that someone will oppose the TM application
